Allen Ray "Al" Little, 88, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS.  Born June 30, 1936 on a farm near Mullinville, KS, he was the son of Harold Ray and Ora Marie (Gillette) Little.

Al was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958.  He spent many years working as a Deputy Sheriff, serving communities in Wagoner County, Mayes County, and Delaware County, OK.  He was an ordained minister, specializing in prison ministry with New Hope Ministry.

A resident of Protection, KS, Al had many interests and talents including: he enjoyed flying and obtained his Pilot's License; he was a talented musician and mastered playing many different instruments; he was an excellent carpenter and could build and fix just about anything, including building several different houses from the ground up and making and manufacturing bicycles.

Al is survived by three daughters: Raylene Howard-Huck (Danny) of Protection, KS, Jane Schulte of Wichita, KS, and Karola Aikin of Wichita, KS; two sisters: Barbara Keller of Bucklin, KS and Darlene Haas of Rock Island, IL; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Donna Joiner and Lois Wedel; and two brothers: Harold "Lavoe" Little and Larry Little.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Comanche County Hospital in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.

In honor of Al's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family ceremony will be held at Graham Chapel Cemetery in Athens, OH at a later time where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Carol.
