Obituary

Benjamin "Ben" Cole Underwood

Benjamin Cole Underwood first graced us with his presence on September 28, 1982 in Coldwater, KS. The second of three children, he always excelled at everything he did. From an early age he showed signs of greatness. His passion and compassion were unmatched. He was a very gifted musician, having devoted most of his life to music. Some of the many bands he played in were: the FOA, Foramen Magnum, the Romantz, Hillbilly Hooligans, Tash, Chris Aarons Band, Jukebox Casanova, Ghost Hollow Road, and so many others. He loved bringing joy to people through his music and no one was ever a stranger around him. His journey took him from Kansas to Texas to New Mexico and Illinois, eventually ending up back home.

He is survived by his parents, Jack Jr. and Crystal Underwood, brother Phillip (Michelle) Underwood, sister Kiley Underwood, his best homie and nephew Hudson Underwood, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and the numerous people he embraced as family that he met on this journey.

Preceding him in death were his grandma Mary Underwood and his cousin Mitch Rupp.

Funeral service will be at the Christian Church in Coldwater, KS on Monday, April 14th at 10:30AM. Memorials may be sent to Ben Underwood Memorial Fund in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
