Bruce Fredrick Page, 67, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015, at his residence in Protection, KS. Born April 11, 1948, at Dodge City, KS, he was the son of Theodore Benford and Norma June (Appel) Page.
Bruce was a resident of Protection, KS, moving there in 2005, previously living in Dodge City, KS. He attended Dodge City High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces from 1968-1969.
Bruce was the owner and operator of Page Roofing and Construction. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and was a member of St. Cornelius Episcopal Church in Dodge City, KS.
He married Sue Fitzwater and she survives. They enjoyed 33 years together.
He is survived by his wife: Sue Page of Protection, KS; his mother: Norma June Page of northwest Arkansas; three sons: Thaddeus J. Page (Jessica) of Mayfield, KY, Joshua Dale Page (Amber Riley) of Protection, KS, and Jeffrey Damon Mathews (Elsa) of Garden City, KS; two daughters: Tamara Dilyn Page of Wichita, KS and Angyel Renee Beer (Ronnie) of Protection, KS; one brother: Bradly Del Page of Rogers, AR; one sister: Bridget June Page Young (Gary Joe) of Lowell, AR; fifteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Tim Petty and Kip Petty, close friends of the family.
He was preceded in death by his father, one son: Benjamin Aaron Page; and an uncle: Vernon Wayne Page.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the Protection Mennonite Church in Protection, KS, with Pastor John Paul presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS, with full military honors.
