Connie Gail Lindsay, 83, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born December 9, 1941, at Coldwater, KS, she was the daughter of Gay Harter and Nellie Vianna (Norton) Lindsay.
Connie graduated from Protection High School and attended Emporia State University and Northwestern University in Alva, OK. She worked as a cashier for a loan company in Kansas City and as an inventory clerk for Cowie Electric in Wichita.
She was married to Lance Riner for eight years and enjoyed traveling throughout the states. She learned the trade of bartending and was hooked.
After her divorce, she worked as a bartender for SelSam Inc. at various clubs in the Wichita area and was known as "MaMa Fox". She took early retirement and moved back to Protection to be close to family and friends. She cared for numerous people and worked as a cashier at Don's Place. Connie loved spending time with her family and babysitting her great-nephews.
Connie attended the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS. She loved animals and always enjoyed having pets.
She is survived by her brother: Gary Lindsay (Bonnie) of Protection, KS; three nephews: Kyle Lindsay (Erin) of Olathe, KS, Kris Lindsay (Nicky) of Protection, KS, and Kraig Lindsay (Jennifer) of Bucklin, KS; eleven great-nieces and nephews: Keegan, Gavin, Reagan, Griffin, Amelia, Coby (Tanner), Cabe (Jacki), Cale (Kaylie), Coda, Jaron, and Karter; four great-great-nieces and nephews: Rowan, Ryder, Nessi, and Junnie; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS with Pastor Rusty Westerfield presiding. Inurnment will follow the service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Protection Christian Church or Protection Community Venture in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
