Cynthia "Cindi" D. Schafer
Cynthia "Cindi" D. Schafer, 44, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at her residence in Inman, KS. Born February 20, 1970 in Greensburg, KS, she was the daughter of Michael "Mike" E. and Karen D. Malone Crowley.
Cindi was a long time resident of Inman. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1988 and later at Hutchinson Community College. She worked as a machinist at TSW for many years. Cindi was a National Certified Pharmacy Tech, working at Kroger in the KASH department, as well as the Hutchinson Clinic for a number of years. She and her husband Luke Schafer were both avid lovers of NHRA, spending opportunities enjoying races as often as they could together.
On May 1, 1999, she married Luke Schafer at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2013.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lezlee Schafer (Cohen) of Buhler and Jodi Schafer (Devan), of McPherson; two sons, Axel Schafer and Cooper Schafer, both of the home; one granddaughter, Lyndzi Scott of Buhler; one grandson, Mavryk Haas of Buhler: her mother, Karen Crowley of Buhler; one sister, Amy Lenertz of Wichita; her grandmother, Roberta Malone of Coldwater, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Luke Schafer, her father Mike Crowley, an infant sister Lisa Renee, an infant niece Kalee Lene, her grandfather Lloyd Malone and her grandparents Norman and Elizabeth Crowley.
Memorial service is at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Brandon Hagins presiding and a graveside service will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Cindi Schafer Memorial Fund in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, PO Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029, for funeral expenses.
The family suggests that memorial items be brought to the service to be placed in a keepsake trunk in honor of Cindi and her husband Luke.
