Dan E. Ferrin, 65, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.  Born July 8, 1956, at Coldwater, KS, he was the son of Delmer Lee "Buck" and Dorothy (Banker) Ferrin.

Dan was a lifetime resident of Comanche County, KS.  He attended Wilmore Schools and Coldwater High School.  He received certification from Liberal Vo-Tech in Liberal, KS and attended Hastings College in Hastings, NE.  Dan was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Silversides as a Sonar Technician from 1976-1980.

On December 1, 1988, he married Jodi Taylor near Wilmore, KS.  She survives.

Dan was a rancher for many years and most recently worked for Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for seventeen years.  He was a member of Coldwater Masonic Lodge and was a 32 ^nd Degree Shriner.

He is survived by his wife: Jodi Ferrin of Wilmore, KS; three daughters: Ashley Cain and her husband Tanner of Lyons, KS, Lindsey Ferrin of Coldwater, KS, and Brooke Ferrin of Wilmore, KS; one granddaughter: Hailey Cain; one brother: Mead Ferrin of Coldwater, KS; and numerous cousins, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Buck Ferrin and Dorothy (Banker) Ferrin; and two brothers: Robbie Thompson and Loren Ferrin.

A private family graveside service at Wilmore Cemetery in Wilmore, KS will be held.
