Danny Lee Burkhall, 79, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018, at Cimarron, KS. Born December 19, 1938, at Ashland, KS, he was the son of Roy C. and Frances G. (Cline) Burkhall.
Danny attended New Home Country School and graduated from Coldwater High School in 1956. He worked at Allderdice's General Store during high school. He received an associate degree in accounting from Pratt Community College. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Danny worked as an accountant for K-Mart for forty years, from 1964-2004, living in the Chicago, IL area. He retired in 2004 and moved back to Coldwater, KS. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS.
Danny is survived by two nephews: Gordon Jenkins and his wife Mary of Cimarron, KS and Kevin Jenkins and his wife Petra of Piekamaki, Finland; one niece: Robin Bratcher and her husband Chet of Protection, KS; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Bonnie Jenkins; and two nephews: Dale Jenkins and Brian Jenkins.
Calling times are from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018 (Family Will Greet Friends From 6-7 p.m.) at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS, with Andrew Evans presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
