Darrol Wayne Miller, 94, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born March 28, 1927, on a farm near Buttermilk, KS, he was the son of Ernest Westford and Merl (Williams) Miller.
Darrol was a lifetime resident and farmer in Comanche County, KS. He attended Fairview and Nauvoo County Schools and graduated from Coldwater High School in 1945. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953, as a part of the Counter Intelligence Corps.
On October 26, 1951, he married Pauline Molz at the First Christian Church in Kiowa, KS. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2013.
Darrol was a member and trustee at the Coldwater United Methodist Church. Other memberships include: C.M.S. Board of Directors; Masonic Lodge; 32 nd Degree Scottish Rite; and Master Farmer.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Marilyn Pierce.
He is survived by three daughters: Janet Bibb (Clark) of Coldwater, KS, Debra Teter (John) of Layton, UT, and Melanie Laubhan (Jim) of Wichita, KS; a brother-in-law: Keith Peaster of Bartlesville, OK; six grandchildren: Amber Bibb, Erin Bibb, Whitney Cunningham, Maj. Matthew Teter, Ashley Teter, and Christian Laubhan; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling times are from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Family Will Greet Friends From 6-7 p.m.), Friday, August 6, 2021, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral service is at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Coldwater United Methodist Church in Coldwater, KS.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater United Methodist Church, or Pratt Humane Society in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
