Obituary
Earl Eugene Emmons, 91, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015, at the Protection Valley Manor in Protection, Kansas. Born February 25, 1924, in Ontario, California, he was the son of Warren and Amy (Cottingham) Emmons.
Earl was a resident of Protection, Kansas, moving there in 2010, previously living in Upland, California. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He was married to Martha Moore. She preceded him in death in 2002.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
He is survived by one son: Mike Emmons and his wife Teri of Chico, California; one daughter: Ellen Whitford and her husband Ken of Protection, Kansas; five grandchildren: Gram Whitford, Melissa Mull, Amy Merrill, Daniel Emmons, and Tim Emmons; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario, California.
Memorials may be sent to Protection Valley Manor in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, Kansas 67029.
