Eddie Laverne Killgore, 74, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018, at his residence in Coldwater, KS. Born April 19, 1943, at Aztec, NM, he was the son of Artie Marvin and Mary Della (Havens) Killgore.
Eddie graduated from Aztec High School in Aztec, NM and attended computer robotics school. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-two years. He worked as an oilfield instrument calibrator for many years. Eddie enjoyed gardening, flowers, and fishing.
On August 9, 1987, he married Minnie R. (Curliss) Murphy at Farmington, NM. She survives.
He is survived by his wife: Minnie Killgore of Coldwater, KS; three children: Liz Janowski of San Antonio, TX, Glenna Roberts of Mesquite, TX, and Eugene Killgore of Texas; four step-children: Beverly Huber of Mena, AR, Evelyn Murphy of Mena, AR, Ronald Murphy of Wyoming, and Timothy Murphy of Texas; two sisters: June Salisbury of Coldwater, KS and Jane Shorter of Aztec, NM; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Julia Coffee; and five brothers: Veral, Don, Von, Robert, and Marvin Killgore.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Coldwater Assembly of God Church in Coldwater, KS.
