Edna Luella Currier
Edna Luella Currier, 75, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Pioneer Lodge in Coldwater, KS. Born December 13, 1936, at Woodward, OK, she was the daughter of Harry Edward "Pete" and Alice Rosamond "Rose" (Lapeer) Miller.
Edna was a long time resident of Coldwater, KS, moving there in 1969, previously living in Woodward, OK. She graduated from Woodward High School in Woodward, OK in 1955. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coldwater, KS. Edna was a homemaker and also worked as a cook for the Coldwater Public School System for many years.
On December 6, 1969, she married Robert "Bob" Currier at Coldwater, KS. He survives.
She is survived by her husband: Bob Currier of Coldwater, KS; four sons: David E. Shaw and his wife Jan of Dodge City, KS, Darrell L. Shaw of Dodge City, KS, Paul E. Shaw and his wife Kellie of Woodward, OK, and Danny Shaw and his wife Angela of Coldwater, KS; one daughter: Patty Currier of Kansas City, MO; one brother: H.L. Miller of Edmond, OK; one sister: Maxine Johnson of Clinton, OK; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son: Patrick Robert Currier; one brother: Joe H. Miller; and one sister: Betty Marie Shaw.
Memorial service is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Doug Johnson presiding. Burial will follow the service at Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater, KS.
