Edward "Ed" Kenneth Dunn
Edward "Ed" Kenneth Dunn, 87, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the Pioneer Lodge in Coldwater, Kansas. Born May 13, 1924, near Mullinville, Kansas, the second child of Orville and Lena (Hall) Dunn, he was a rancher.
Ed was a lifetime resident of Comanche County, Kansas. He spent his childhood on a ranch 19 miles southeast of Wilmore, Kansas and attended Shimer Country School. He was a member of Comanche County Farm Bureau.
On May 20, 1944, he married Patricia "Pat" Richardson at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She survives.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia "Pat" (Richardson) Dunn of Coldwater, Kansas; two sons: Bobby Lee Dunn and his wife Debbie of Coldwater, Kansas, and Roger Keith Dunn and his wife Jill of Coldwater, Kansas; five grandchildren: Robert Dunn, Suzanne Snook, Jamie Bruckner, Joseph Dunn, and Jeremy Dunn; and fourteen great-grandchildren: Ashleigh, Austin, and Alexa Snook, Emily and Dylan Dunn, Victoria, Chloe, and Caleb Bruckner, Emma and Keith Dunn, and Tristan, Grant, Devin, and Camille Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Neta McVey; and two infant sons.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, Kansas, with Pastor Doug Johnson and Pastor Greg Marlow presiding.Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, Kansas.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, Kansas.
