ElVera I. Unruh, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Hill Top House in Bucklin, KS.  Born September 20, 1948, at Fairview, OK, she was the daughter of Rodney and Mable Koehn.

ElVera was a resident of Greensburg, KS, previously living in Wilmore, KS, Coldwater, KS, Haviland, KS, and Portland, OR.  She attended Mullinville Schools in Mullinville, KS and received an Interior Design Certificate while living in Oregon.  She had a natural eye for interior decorating, loved shopping for hours and hours, and was known for her friendship bags.

She was the Materials Manager for Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS for over 20 years.  She also worked at Made In Oregon while living in Portland and worked at Kiowa County Care and Share in Greensburg, KS.  She was a member of Haviland Friends Church in Haviland, KS and served on the board for Kiowa County Senior Center in Greensburg, KS.

On February 18, 1968, she married John Wayne Unruh in Greensburg, KS.  He survives.

She is survived by her husband: John W. Unruh of Greensburg, KS; one son: Bradley Unruh of Rogers, AR; one daughter: Kari Unruh of Greensburg, KS; two grandsons: Andy and William Kyle; three brothers: Gary Koehn (Edith), Troy Koehn (Cherry), and Kevin Koehn (Kathy); two sisters: Jeanne Giesbrecht (Richard) and Camilla Unruh (Gary); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law: Gay Lyn Unruh.

Visitation With Family Present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home in Coldwater, KS.

Graveside Service is at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Wilmore Cemetery in Wilmore, KS, with Rev. Allen E. Davis presiding.
