Evelyn Alma Jellison, 80, passed away September 4, 2016 in Coldwater. She was born June 5th, 1936, on the family farm north of Coldwater, KS, the daughter of Francis and Alma (Ochs) Burkhall. Evelyn attended New Home Country School and graduated from Coldwater High School in 1954. On June 5th, 1959 she married Don Jellison of Protection, KS. Don and Evelyn lived in Ashland, Kansas for many years as she worked for the City Offices of Ashland and taught piano lessons. They also spent many years in Woodward, OK. Don preceded her in death on May 22, 1993. Evelyn had been living in Coldwater for the past 10 years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne Burkhall and Carl Burkhall. She is survived by her cousin, Danny Burkhall of Coldwater, and two nieces and a nephew; Linda Basnett of Coldwater, Elaine McNeely of Denver, CO, and Mark Burkhall of Plano, TX.



A graveside service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS on Saturday, September 10th, 2016 at 10:30 am.
