Franklin Wayne "Frank" Clark was born on September 12, 1953 in Sterling, Kansas to A. B. Clark and Judy (Sells) Kindle. Frank's father passed away at an early age. His step-father, Cliff Kindle, raised him and passed on his love for the oilfield to Frank.
Frank grew up in Little River, Kansas and graduated from Little River High School in 1971. He moved to Coldwater to pursue his first love: Black Gold. Frank moved to Comanche County when the oilfield had a boom in the early 1980's. He first worked for KRN out of Colorado. He worked various oilfield jobs and would later run his own pumping company, Clark Contract Pumping. Eventually, he started working for Jayhawk Oilfield Supply Company and became store manager of the Coldwater store.
While in Coldwater, Frank found his second love: golf. He enjoyed being a member at the local golf courses. He played in many tournaments and went on many golf trips to Colorado. Through golf, Frank made many friendships.
Here she comes just-a-walkin' down the aisle…. On January 7, 1984 Frank married Beverly Kay Bayne. Together they had 2 children, Colten and Chesney. Frank was extremely proud of his two greatest accomplishments, his kids. Frank welcomed his son-in-law Kevin and 2 daughters, Madeline and Adelina into his family. Frank enjoyed sharing any and all treats with his grandson, Otto Franklin Tobisch.
Frank is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, step-father, and sister Glenda. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverly; son, Colten of Coldwater; daughter Chesney and husband Kevin of Herington; grandkids: Adelina, Madeline, & Otto; two sisters, Kim and Eric Steinle (Hutchinson), Linda Clark (Lyons); numerous in-laws; nieces and nephews; and friends.
