Frankie Pauline Dowling
Frankie Pauline Dowling, 80, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Protection Valley Manor in Protection, KS. Born July 4, 1931, at Streetman, TX, the daughter of James H. and Evelina (Stogsdill) Clendenen, she was a homemaker.
Pauline was a long time resident of Protection, KS, moving there in 1958. She was an active member of the Protection First Baptist Church and Baptist Women's' Auxiliary, both in Protection, KS.
On July 2, 1955, she married James Ray Dowling at Vernon, TX. He survives.
She is survived by her husband: James Ray Dowling of Protection, KS; one son: Eddie Lynn Dowling and wife Christina Lynn of Protection, KS; one daughter: Paula Bradley and husband Greg of Protection, KS; three brothers: Jimmy Banner of Azle, TX, Eddie Freeman of Wichita Falls, TX, and Danny Jackson of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister: Bobbie Gable of Vernon, TX; four grandchildren: Michael Dowling and wife Tracy of St. John, KS, Tammie Patterson and husband Matt of Protection, KS, Hugh Bradley and wife Nichole of Ozawakie, KS, and Daniel Bradley of Manhattan, KS; five great-grandchildren: Mariah, Kimbra, Tara, Ashton, and Logann; and a lifelong friend: Evelyn Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Carolyn Sue Dowling; and two sisters: Alma Cantrell and Theresa Clendenen.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, (Family Will Greet Friends From 5-7) at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS. Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Protection, KS, with Pastor Brandon Hagins presiding. Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
