Geneva Mae Smith
Geneva Mae Smith, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born April 17, 1925, in Protection, KS, she was the daughter of Edson Aubrey and Leta Hazel (Cline) Thompson.
Geneva was a life time resident of Comanche County, KS. She graduated from Coldwater High School. She was a seamstress, hung wall paper, and painted for many years. She enjoyed bowling and golfing and was a member of the Coldwater Country Club.
On February 6, 1946, she married Forest Edward "Fotch" Smith at Ashland, KS. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2006.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Diana Bilyeu; one brother; and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons: Ron Smith and his wife Cathy of Protection, KS and Larry Smith and his wife Debra of Protection, KS; five grandchildren: Jennifer Pixler, Sarah Kraft, J.D. Smith, Matt Smith, and Ty Smith; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18,2015, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Private family graveside services will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
