Glenn Edson "Eddie" Thompson, 60, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Minneola District Hospital in Minneola, KS. Born March 27, 1956, at Coldwater, KS, he was the son of Alfred and Glenice (Atteberry) Thompson.
Eddie was a long time resident of Dodge City, KS. He graduated from Protection High School in Protection, KS in 1974 and attended Liberal Vo-Tech in Liberal, KS. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of an archery club.

He is survived by a special friend: Deena Raser of Minneola, KS; his mother: Glenice Thompson of Coldwater, KS; four children: Dustin Thompson of Dodge City, KS, Shannon Turner of Arkansas City, KS, Nathan Thompson of Wichita, KS, and Lenn Thompson of Scott City, KS; three sisters: Aleta Gatz of Pratt, KS, Lesa Davis of Coldwater, KS, and Leslie Fischtziur of Greenville, TX; one brother: Richard Thompson of Coldwater, KS; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father: Alfred Thompson; and a daughter: Nadia Thompson.

Graveside service is at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Shawn Leach presiding.
