Gwen Ann Kamas-Herd, 67, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born October 18, 1949, in Fostoria, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ora J. and LaDonna (Molter) Colwell.
Gwen attended and graduated from Hopewell Loudon Schools in Bascom, Ohio. She was a resident of Coldwater, KS for 19 years, previously living in the Freedom, OK area. She worked as a computer tech and a secretary during her life. Gwen was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church and Comanche County Hospital Auxiliary.
On April 21, 1999, she married Malcolm Dick "Mac" Herd at Raton, NM.
She is survived by her husband: Mac Herd of Coldwater, KS; one daughter: Melissa Pittman of Woodward, OK; one son: Tim Weber (Angie) of Muscatine, Iowa; two step-children: Tara Herd of Coldwater, KS and Vince Herd of Cushing, OK; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Kim Weber; and one brother: Jim Colwell.
Memorial service is at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Juan Espinoza presiding.
