Inez Kathryn Young

Inez K. Young, 74, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the South Wind Hospice House in Pratt, KS. She was born February 12, 1938, in Coldwater, KS, to Bert and Edna (Towner) Young. She grew up in Coldwater, graduating from Coldwater High School in 1956. Inez joined the First Christian Church at Coldwater during the early 1950's.
Inez married Airman First Class Frank L. Young, of the United States Air Force, son of Alva and Opal Young, of Protection, KS, on May 4, 1957 at Alamogordo, NM, when Frank was stationed at Holloman AFB. To this union were born twin daughters on February 5, 1958, at Alamogordo, NM: Tacey Elaine Teel and Teresa Lynn Rector. They were the pride and joy of our lives.
Inez spent many years in banking after moving to the Liberal, KS area. She retired in 2004 after 18 years of service to the First National Bank of Liberal. After retirement, she and Frank moved to Lake Arrowhead, KS, where they had years to travel, do lots of fishing, and have a good life.
Inez Young was preceded in death by one brother: Benny Young; one sister: Leona Young; and her parents: Bert and Edna Young.
Inez is survived by her husband of 55 years: Frank Young of Pratt, KS; two daughters: Tacey Teel of Manhattan, KS and Teresa Rector and her husband Jack of Fort Worth, TX; two brothers: Jack Young and his wife Virginia of San Bernardino, CA and Dick Young and his wife Carlene of Smith Field, VA; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Celebration of Life Service is at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Protection, KS, with Pastor Tom Walters presiding. Burial is in the Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
