Obituary
Jared Ryan Zielke, 32, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Protection Valley Manor in Protection, KS. Born October 4, 1985, in Coldwater, KS, he was the son of Mike and Gayle (Wheaton) Zielke.
Jared was nearly a lifetime resident of Protection, KS, living for a few years in Bucklin, KS with his surrogate family, Tim and Cathy Rabe. He attended Protection Grade School in Protection, KS and graduated from Bucklin High School in Bucklin, KS in 2005. Jared enjoyed listening to all types of music.
He is survived by his parents: Mike and Gayle Zielke of Coldwater, KS; one sister: Shasta Zielke of Portland, OR; one brother: Josh Zielke (Adrianne) of Overland Park, KS; his grandmother: Ivalee Brock (Basil) of Buffalo, OK; his grandfather: Charles Zielke of Ardmore, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Bill Wheaton; and his grandmother: Dorothy Zielke.
Graveside service is at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at High Point Cemetery in Buffalo, OK, with Rev. Jerry Hodges presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Protection Valley Manor or Comanche County Hospital in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
