Obituary

Jennie June Oller, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Pioneer Lodge in Coldwater, KS. Born September 14, 1925, at Protection, KS, she was the daughter of Ralph and Lucy (Stevenson) Sangster.

Jennie was a longtime resident of the Buttermilk, KS area, living in Dodge City, KS from 1976-2009, returning to Comanche County, KS in 2009. She graduated from Protection High School in Protection, KS in 1943.

On April 15, 1945, she married Ernest Junior Oller at the Antioch Church in Buttermilk, KS. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2012.

Jennie was a member of the Antioch Community Church in Buttermilk, KS and attended the Dodge City United Methodist Church. She was a member of: Pikeview E.H.U.; Busy Hands E.H.U.; Loyal Hustlers 4-H Project Leader; and many community pitch clubs.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Robert, Dick, and Hud Sangster; and two sisters: Betty Hester and Lila Blasi.

She is survived by one daughter: Linda Phillips (William) of Andover, KS; two sons: Leo Oller (Karen) of Buttermilk, KS and Larry Oller (Katie) of Andover, KS; one brother: Dennis Sangster (Joan) of Dodge City, KS; two sisters: Mary Ewy of Dodge City, KS and Maggie Barrett of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren: Sam Oller, Jennifer Oller, Bradley Crowe, Sara Wyatt, Angie Draney, Ben Oller, and Annie Stewart; three step-grandchildren: Jonathan Gibson, Nancy Davis, and Justin Gibson; nine great-grandchildren: Robert, Jeffery, Stephen, Mia, Hadley, Reese, Austin, Elizabeth, and Elliot; and thirteen step-great-grandchildren.

Calling times are from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2018 (Family Will Greet Friends From 4-6 p.m.) at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018, at United Methodist Church in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Caleb Palmer presiding.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
