Jerry Clifford Owens
Jerry Clifford Owens, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at his residence in Coldwater, KS. Born April 11, 1938, at Buffalo, OK, he was the son of Charles Clifford and Jennifer (Ellis) Owens.
Jerry was a resident of Coldwater, KS, moving there in 2000 from South Fork, CO. He attended school in Selman, OK. Jerry was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a TSGT in the U. S. Air Force for 21 years, from 1956-1977.
He was a general contractor and owner of Owens Building in North Pole, AK and Diamond Remodeling. He was manager of VIPS Restaurant in Washington and owned Gift Cache Shop in Seaside, OR. Jerry was a professional dog handler for 20 years and raised Shelties and Pomeranians. Jerry enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, cooking, gardening, and country music.
On January 4, 1999, he married Diana Nolan at Clayton, NM. She survives.
He is survived by his wife: Diana Owens of Coldwater, KS; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Lucy Nolan; two daughters from a previous marriage; three sisters; two brothers-in-law; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son from a previous marriage, and one brother.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor John Paul and Bucky Moore presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS, with full military honors.
