Jim D. Shipley
Jim D. Shipley, 79, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Deseret Health and Rehab in Pratt, KS. Born October 23, 1935 in Woods County, OK, he was the son of E. E. and Lillie Mae (Rhodes) Shipley. He was a former resident of Protection, KS.
Jim was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines and also worked as a police officer during his life.
He is survived by two brothers: Marvin Shipley of Alva, OK and Price Shipley of Lakin, KS; and one sister: Maddie Sue Shipley of Oregon.
Graveside service is at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS, with Pastor Brandon Hagins presiding. Burial is in the Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
Memorials may be sent to Protection Valley Manor in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
