Joaquin Alonso Rivero Venegas, 18, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS. Born June 27, 1999, at San Jorge, Utah, he was the son of Joaquin Rivero Hernandez and Maria Dolores Venegas Flores.
Alonso was a lifetime resident of Comanche County, KS. He graduated from South Central High School in 2017 and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Coldwater, KS. He was attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK, and was a member of the N.W.O.S.U. Rodeo Team.

Survivors include his parents: Jorge and Maria Rivero and two sisters: Alondra Rivero and Brigit Rivero of rural Coldwater, KS; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

Funeral Mass is at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 2017, at First Christian Church, Coldwater, KS.

Calling times are from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Graveside service is at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Protection Cemetery, Protection, KS.
