Obituary
Joyce Louise Comfort, 82, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born October 31, 1934, in Ashland, KS, she was the daughter of Richard and Bessie (Nicholas) Jarnagin.
Joyce was a longtime resident of Comanche County, KS, previously living in Wichita, KS and Suitland, MD. She graduated from Protection High School in 1952 and attended Wichita Business College. She was a member of the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS.
On August 15, 1969, she married Charlie Comfort in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death in 1982.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Jeralene Brecheisen; and an infant brother: Rex Jarnagin.
She is survived by five step-children: Steven, Gregory, Sheri, Charles, and Troy; one brother: Gary Jarnagin and his wife Karen of Protection, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A private family service will be held.
Memorials are suggested to Comanche County E.M.S. in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
