Kenneth Oscar Durbin

Kenneth Oscar Durbin, 96, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. Born October 19, 1917, at Council Bluffs, Iowa, he was the son of Bruce and Gertrude (Brown) Durbin.
Kenneth was a resident of Protection, Kansas for seventeen years, moving there from Cody, Wyoming. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked as a police officer in Cody, Wyoming for over twenty years. He was a member of the Protection Christian Church in Protection, Kansas. He was also a member of the N.R.A.
He is survived by three sons: Bruce Durbin and his wife Gloria of Redmond, Oregon, Robert Durbin and his wife Nancy of Sedro Woolley, Washington, and Doug Durbin of Portland, Oregon; two sisters: Ruth Hannon and Donna Paladino; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sons: Kenneth Lloyd Durbin, Richard Dale Durbin, Gary Ray Durbin, and Dennis Wayne Durbin; one daughter: Chryal Ann Sleeper; and six brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS. Memorial service is at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Protection Christian Church in Protection, Kansas, with Andrew Evans presiding.
