Kent Douglas Offutt, 72, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS.  Born July 6, 1951, at La Crosse, KS, he was the son of Glenn Elder and Pauline Marie (Munstedt) Offutt.

Kent graduated from Utica High School in 1970 and attended McPherson Vo-Tech.  On January 28, 1980, he married Geri Lutters at Ness City, KS.  She survives.

Kent was a long time resident of Comanche County, KS, moving to the area in 1987.  He worked as a truck driver and later operated a road grader for Comanche County Road and Bridge Department for many years.

He is survived by his wife: Geri Offutt of Coldwater, KS; his children: Traci Uhl (Tyson) of Coldwater, KS, Nicole Baker (Brian) of Peyton, CO, and Shelby Offutt of Coldwater, KS; his other children; his grandchildren: Landon, Gavin, & Brinley Uhl and Ethyn & Masyn Baker; his other grandchildren; one sister: Marla Edwards (Bill) of Cassoday, KS; and two brothers: Norman Offutt (Anita) of Dumas, TX and Kevin Offutt (Gwen) of Healy, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Gerald Offutt.

A Visitation with Family Present is from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2023 at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Graveside service is at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Wilmore Cemetery in Wilmore, KS with Pastor Tom Walters presiding.

The family requests casual dress.
