Larry Wayne Denney

Larry Wayne Denney, 76, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Missions Health and Rehab in Pratt, KS. Born January 10, 1939, at Wilmore, KS, he was the son of Clyde Norman and Ruth Mildred (Jordan) Denney.
Larry attended school in Wilmore, KS, Harper, KS, and Protection, KS. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1959. A longtime resident of Coldwater, KS, moving back to the area in 1996, Larry worked on ranches, farms, and in the oilfield before he retired.
On December 12, 1960, he married Mary Ann Mayberry in Coldwater, KS. To this union one daughter was born: Christi Lavonne. They were later divorced.
On March 31, 1974, he married Ruth (Wright) Graham in Coldwater, KS. To this union two children were born: Mitch and Niccole. They were later divorced and remarried on December 28, 1989. She survives.

Survivors include his wife: Ruth Denney of Protection, KS; one son: Mitch Denney (Cleta) of Coldwater, KS; one daughter: Niccole Blevins of Cimarron, KS; one step-son: Chris Graham of Protection, KS; one brother: Lanny Denney of Coldwater, KS; three sisters: Norma Starks of Greensburg, KS, Donna Kay Harper of Booker, TX, and Linda Graybill (Johnnie) of Coffeyville, KS; ten grandchildren: Larissa, Megan, Stephanie, Sierra, and Trinity Denney, David Denney, Brittney and Brandie Blevins, and Michael and Jaiden Graham; one great-granddaughter: Aislynn Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Christi Lavonne Denney; one granddaughter: Shayna Graham; one sister: Pat Thomas; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside service is at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor David Moseley presiding and full military honors.
