IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry Kent
Trummel
May 16, 1945 – April 8, 2014
Larry Kent Trummel
Larry Trummel was born on May 16, 1945, and passed away on April 8, 2014. Larry was a truly amazing man. He had an impact on everyone that he met and was loved by all. Family meant more to Larry than anything. He was so proud of his family, kids, and grandkids. His favorite thing was to spend time together as a family. He loved hosting and getting together over food. He never turned down a chance to spend time with his kids and grandkids, and would often be swept away by his grandkids as soon as he walked in the door. His true loves were family, food, shopping with his daughter, KU basketball, and nature.
Larry was born to Kenneth and Flossie Trummel. He is survived by a brother (Max Trummel) and a sister (Patricia White). He leaves behind two sons (Kevin Trummel and Kenneth Trummel), a daughter (Ginger Cassidy), two daughters-in-law (Denise Trummel and Nina Trummel), a son-in-law (Scott Cassidy), and two grandchildren (Ellie and Cooper Trummel) with one more on the way (Meyer Kent Cassidy).
Larry lived in Kansas City. He enjoyed his job as a manager at Bartle Hall working for Aramark. He truly loved his co-workers and was happy working by their side.
Larry was a genuinely happy person with a caring heart. He was generous and giving almost to a fault. Everyone that knew him is a better person for having him in his or her life. His laugh would truly fill a room. There has never been a more kind and happy soul. This world will not be the same without him in it.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the Wilmore Federated Church, 304 Main, Wilmore KS 67155. Burial is in the Wilmore Cemetery in Wilmore, KS. Memorials can be sent to the Kansas City Hospice House in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
