LaVeda Mae Woolfolk, 87, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS.  Born October 5, 1933, at Mehan, OK, she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Wilson) Stites.

LaVeda was a long time resident of Comanche County, KS, living at Legacy Village in Stillwater, OK, for the past year.  She graduated from Stillwater High School in Stillwater, OK in1952 and was honored as Miss Stillwater in 1953.

On March 29, 1956, she married Orvid Delane "Skip" Woolfolk at the First Christian Church in Stillwater, OK.  He survives.

LaVeda was a member of the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS.  She was an avid golfer, recording 4 holes-in-one.  She enjoyed spending time on the golf course with her friends from the Woodward Golf Ladies.  She was an artist and enjoyed painting.

She is survived by her husband: Skip Woolfolk of Coldwater, KS; three children: LaNell Wagnon (Lynn) of Coldwater, KS, Michelle Martin (Hal) of Stillwater, OK, and Sid Woolfolk (Carla) of Granbury, TX; one brother: Rusty Stites (Yvonne) of Morrison, OK; one sister: Charlene Emmons of California; one sister-in-law: Ruthie Stites of Stillwater, OK; eight grandchildren: Shane Wagnon (Amber), Shanell Bosch, Shelby Carney (Alex), Courtney Gedney (Daniel), Cara Allen (Emory), Casey Woolfolk, Megan Sanchez, and Lora Welsh (Nathan); and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Kenny Stites; and one sister: Maxine Humphry.

Graveside service is at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS, with Pastor Rusty Westerfield presiding.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time and will be announced by Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home.
