In 1943 when her father went into WWII Service, Linda and her mother moved to Beaver City, NE to be with family. At the age of 7 she and her family moved to Lenora, KS. Linda graduated from Lenora Rural High School in 1960. She attended one year of Business School at Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS.

On June 9, 1962 she married John Herman at New Almelo, KS. They had three children in which she always called "My Beautiful Daughters" Cynthia Marie, Lisa Ann and Lori Louise.

Linda and John moved the family to Dodge City, KS in 1970. From 1981 to 1991 Linda worked for the Prescription Center, Gift Gallery in Dodge City. From 1996 to 2008 she worked at and became manager of Tandy's Hallmark in Dodge City.

Linda lived for her children and grandchildren and spending time with her sister Beverly. She remembered the name of everyone who cared for her and made sure each person knew, "She Saw Them". She helped many people over the years and shared her sense of humor and wisdom with everyone she encountered. She loved to play games, rarely letting others win, and made sure you remembered that. In earlier years she loved to sew, making all of the Barbie clothes for her girls. Her talents will be missed but never forgotten.

We know she is dancing in Heaven with her daddy and Jesus, and she is wearing beautiful shoes.
