Lloyd B Malone

Lloyd B Malone, 97, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, KS. Born February 12, 1916 in Sitka, KS, he was the son of James Henry and Nellie (Lawson) Malone.
Lloyd was nearly a lifetime resident of Comanche County, KS, moving to the area in 1938. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. He worked for much of his life as an elevator operator.
He married Roberta Bliss on October 22, 1948 in Dodge City, KS. She survives.
He is survived by his wife: Roberta Malone of Coldwater, KS; three children: Karen Crowley of Buhler, KS, Keith Malone and his wife Beverly of Coldwater, KS, and Joann Malone of Coldwater, KS; eight grandchildren: Cindi (Luke) Schafer, Amy Lenertz, Justin (Crystal) Williams, Keitha (Scott) Semmel, Ricci (Andy) Smarsh, Jamie Jo Ndungu, Randi (Jaron) Miller, and Luke Malone; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, three brothers: Jay, Gene, and Floyd; and four sisters: Isma, Velma, Zelma, and Violet.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home in Coldwater, KS, with Andrew Evans presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS, with full military honors.
