Luke William Schafer

Luke William Schafer, 41, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at his residence in Inman, KS. Born January 3, 1972, in McPherson, KS, he was the son of Larry Schafer and Brenda Ollek.
Luke was a long time resident of Inman, KS. He graduated from Buhler High School, Hutchinson Community College and Vocational School, and Barton County Community College. He worked as a machinist for most of his life and was an avid N.H.R.A. Racing Fan.
On May 1, 1999, he married Cindi Crowley at Eureka Springs, AR. She survives.

He is survived by his wife: Cindi Schafer of Inman, KS; his father: Larry Schafer of McPherson, KS; his mother: Brenda Ollek of Wichita, KS; two daughters: Lezlee Schafer of Buhler, KS and Jodi Schafer of Inman, KS; two sons: Axel Schafer and Cooper Schafer of Inman, KS; one granddaughter: Lyndzi Scott of Buhler, KS; two grandmothers: Billie Ollek of Buhler, KS and Roberta Malone of Coldwater, KS; one brother: Michael Schafer and his wife Jackie of Little River, KS; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Sim and Elsie Schafer, Art Ollek, and Lloyd Malone.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS, with family present.

Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS, with Rev. Joshua Johnson presiding. The family suggests that friends wear N.H.R.A. Racing Shirts to honor Luke.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
