Margaret Rose (Jackson) Snyder Morgan

Margaret Rose (Jackson) Snyder Morgan, 92, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. She was born in Coldwater, KS on June 8, 1922 to Daniel Neill and Gladys (Taylor) Jackson.
She grew to adulthood on the family ranch, Valley Farm, now known as the Crossed J Ranch. She attended grade school at Tin Top (District 27) School, and graduated from Coldwater High School in 1940.
During World War II, she helped on the ranch until going to Wichita, KS, where she was a long distance telephone operator, coming home in early 1945. On June 27, 1945, she married Clifford E. Snyder when he returned from active duty in Europe. He died on December 5, 1980. They had three sons: Russell L., Jack E., and Delmar W. Snyder. On September 4, 1983, she married Elmer R. Morgan. He died on October 14, 1996.
She was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church; a Community Leader of the Loyal Hustlers 4-H Club for many years; and a Sewing Leader for a number of years. She worked in the Coldwater Library and then became the Librarian at the Wilmore Library in November of 1987.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Russell L. Snyder; one brother: Neill T. Jackson; and two granddaughters: Hailey Zink and Carmen Snyder Werner.

She is survived by two sons: Jack E. Snyder and his wife Rose Ann of Gautier, MS and Delmar W. Snyder and his wife Ann of Coldwater, KS; a step-daughter: Tawnia Zink and her husband Bill of Ellinwood, KS; a daughter-in-law: Lucy C. Snyder of Manhattan, KS; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Coldwater, KS, with Rev. Gary Merritt presiding.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
