Holler
March 28, 1919 – May 31, 2021
Marjorie Evelyn (DeMoss) Holler, 102, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 31, 2021. She was born March 28, 1919, at Wellsford, KS and was the sixth child of Charles and Beulah (Williamson) DeMoss. Her family moved from Croft, KS to Wilmore, KS when she was five years old. She graduated from Wilmore High School in 1937.
Marjorie married Albert Holler on August 30, 1937. He passed away May 17, 2002.
Marjorie was active in her church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, B.Y.F. Sponsor, and church pianist and organist. She was a member of the Protection First Baptist Church; PEO Chapter DM; Women's Missionary Society; and Mother's Club.
She loved her family and enjoyed having them around her on Holidays and special times, and spending time with the grandchildren.
She spent lots of time sewing, crocheting afghans and dolls, and quilting.
She was mother to: Donna James (Don), Arlyn Holler (Shirley), Arlys Kraus (Bill), and Jerry Holler (Mary); and was grandmother to: Gary James (Sarah), Tom James, Robin Sanders (Sam), Allen Hopkins (Margaret), Mark Holler (Cheryl), Boyd Holler (Becky), Teresa Becker (Dan), Scott Holler, and Erin Mangrum (Dustin); several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert, her parents, two daughters: Donna and Arlys; two sons: Arlyn and Jerry; three grandsons: Richard James, Tom James, and Boyd Holler; daughter-in-law: Shirley; sons-in-law: Don and Bill; great-great-grandson: Kaimen; and her brother and sisters.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law: Mary; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Funeral service is at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Protection, KS, with Pastor Trever Ball presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery, Protection, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Protection First Baptist Church in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
