Mary Ellen Jantzen, 65, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at her residence in Wichita, KS.  Born December 15, 1955, at Ashland, KS, she was the daughter of Wallace Dean and Marietta (Herman) Jantzen.

Mary Ellen grew up in Protection, KS and graduated from Protection High School in 1973.  She received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS.  She was a long time resident of Wichita, KS and worked as a Registered Nurse during her life.

She is survived by her son: Ross Lucas "Luke" Hutcherson of Wichita, KS; one sister: Betty Jantzen of Wichita, KS; one brother: Robert Jantzen (Judy) of Guymon, OK; and one aunt, one niece, and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Graveside Inurnment is at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Highland Cemetery in Ashland, KS.
