Mary Elizabeth Offield, 79, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019, at her residence in Coldwater, KS. Born November 9, 1939, at Clarksville, AR, she was the daughter of Calvin and Ann (Schweppnestedde) Gean.

Mary was a long-time resident of Coldwater, KS, moving there in 1972, previously living in Haysville, KS and Salina, KS. After graduating from high school, she attended Butler Community College. She married Tom Offield in 1961 in Wichita, KS. They were later divorced.

Mary worked as owner/operator of Coldwater Laundry Service from 1974-2013. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS.

She is survived by two daughters: Debra Adams (Raymond Affeldt) of Coldwater, KS and Terri Brosius (Ronny) of Coldwater, KS; two brothers: Lewis Gean (June) of Seattle, WA and Jack Gean (Connie) of Augusta, KS; six grandchildren: Logan, Clayton, Allison, Tina, Tyler, and Emily; and nine great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Joyce Grunden and Anna Lou Stafford; one brother: Kenneth Gean; and two half-brothers: Junior Gean and Bob Gean.

Memorial service is at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Trever Ball presiding.
