Nancy Jane Jackson, who would have celebrated her 66 ^th birthday June 11, died unexpectedly Monday, June 8, 2020, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS.

Nancy was born June 11, 1954, in Arkansas City, KS, to Orval and Lucille Jackson.  She attended grade school in Grainola, OK, and high school in Shidler, OK, graduating in 1972.  She graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1976.  She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Wichita State University.

Nancy spent most of her career working in social services in both Oklahoma and Kansas.  She was actively involved in the Methodist Church.  She did missionary work in the United States and abroad.  She devoted considerable time working in prison ministry also.

Nancy was preceded in death by an infant brother: Eddie; and her parents.

Survivors include her two sisters: Rita (Keith) Hoffman of Freedom, OK, and Loma (John) Berndsen of Winfield, KS; nephews: Ken Hoffman of Oklahoma City, OK, Dan (Chelsee) Hoffman of Russell, KS, and Paul Berndsen of Derby, KS; a niece: Felecia (Justin) Minyard of Greensburg, KS; as well as three great-nieces and two great-nephews: Brooke, Addison, & Jack Minyard and Bailee and Landry Hoffman.

Memorial service is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2020, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Russell, KS, with Pastor Mike Ketchens presiding.
