Norma Jeanne (Sankpill) Dickinson, 93, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born July 7, 1924, at Wood River, IL, she was the daughter of Albert M. and Mary Elizabeth (White) Sankpill.
The Sankpill's moved to a farm southeast of Buttermilk, KS in 1930. Later the family moved to a farm in the Paruna, OK area. Norma Jeanne and her sister Milly lived in Coldwater and attended Coldwater High School.


On December 22, 1940, she married Ansel McCarthur Dickinson at Buttermilk, KS. They farmed southwest of Buttermilk until retiring to Coldwater in 1975.


She was a lifetime member of the Antioch Church, and the oldest member in attendance at the Antioch 100-year anniversary in May 2017.


Norma Jeanne loved to cook and liked to be surrounded by lots of people who loved to eat!


She is survived by her son: Albert Randal "Randy" Dickinson and his wife Jane of Moses Lake, WA; her grandson: Wes Dickinson and his wife Mary and sons, Joe, Eli, and Lucius of Allen, TX; and her granddaughter: Lindsay Phipps and her husband Stephen and son Henry of Coeur d' Alene, ID.


Norma Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, and her sister: Milly Ramseier.


Calling times are from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2017 (Family Will Greet Friends From 4-6 p.m.) at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.


Funeral service is at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at First Christian Church, Coldwater, KS, with Pastor Doug Johnson and Pastor Caleb Palmer presiding.


Burial will follow the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater, KS.
