Patricia Ann "Pat" Sanders, 87, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Pioneer Lodge in Coldwater, KS.  Born July 9, 1933, at Ashland, KS, she was the daughter of Lane Michael and Lila Opal (Pettigrew) Myers.

Pat was a long time resident of Protection, KS, also living in Wichita, KS and Long Beach, CA during her life.  She graduated from Protection High School in 1951 and attended Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS and Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis, MN.  She was a member of Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS; Mother's Club; Protection Golf Club; and Mennonite Women's Bible Class.

On February 12, 1956, she married Billy Jack Sanders at Protection, KS.  Billy Jack and Pat ran the Lane Myer's Company in Protection, KS from 1986 to 1999.  Billy Jack preceded her in death on August 18, 2016.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Lori Canaday; and a brother-in-law: Wes Veatch.

She is survived by two sons: Chad Lane Sanders of Eloy, AZ and Mau Espinosa of Kansas City, MO; one sister: Joyce Veatch of Long Beach, CA; two grandsons: Ty James of Protection, KS and Preston James of Protection, KS; a son-in-law: Danny Canaday of Protection, KS; four great-grandchildren; a niece: Cathy Anderson of Long Beach, CA; and a nephew: Mike Veatch of Garden City, KS.

Graveside inurnment is at 9:30 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS, with Rev. Barry Walker presiding.
