Patricia Jean "Tricia" Snyder
Patricia Jean "Tricia" Snyder, 58, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at her residence in Wilmore, KS. Born March 5, 1954, in Coldwater, KS, she was the daughter of Carl L. and Rowena (Booth) Snyder.
Tricia attended Wilmore Grade School and graduated as salutatorian from Coldwater High School in 1972. She attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK, and received a bachelor's degree from Kansas University in Lawrence, KS. She lived in Colorado for many years, during which time she worked for Target Corp., Maytham Glass Blowing Co., and Chipseed Plant Nursery. In 1992, she moved back home to Wilmore, KS. She married Neil Timmer in 1992. She worked as a contract painter, and together with Neil, she worked as a contract mail carrier and caretaker of the Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
Tricia loved to travel, spending time in Europe and Central America on several occasions. She appreciated music and attended many bluegrass festivals with Neil and her friends. She quilted, making quilts for numerous family members, enjoyed gardening with Neil, loved her pets, and was an avid and enthusiastic environmentalist.
Tricia will be missed by her husband: Neil Timmer of Wilmore, KS; two sons: Travis Timmer of Houston, MN and James Timmer of LaCrosse, WI; one brother: Mike Snyder and his wife Guyneth of Wilmore, KS; one sister-in-law: Roberta Snyder of Wilmore, KS; one uncle: Ivan Booth of Wilmore, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Terry Snyder.
Celebration of Life Service is from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Wilmore Community Center in Wilmore, KS.
