Patricia "Pat" Joyce (Richardson) Dunn, 96, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Pioneer Lodge in Coldwater, KS. Born May 11, 1929 at the Johnson Ranch south of Coldwater, KS, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Emma Mae (Bibb) Richardson.
On May 20, 1944, she married Edward "Ed" Kenneth Dunn in Medicine Lodge, KS. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2011.
Pat worked beside Ed on the family ranch, helping with the cows and calves, driving a tractor, and helping with the farm work.
She learned to paint and painted many pictures for her family. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and baking birthday, anniversary, and wedding cakes for her family. Her thumb was green when it came to growing flowers and a garden. Pat loved giving gifts and remembering everyone's birthday.
When she moved to town, Pat joined Civic Club, Hospital Auxiliary, and Red Hat Society. She also helped at Angel's Attic. She loved going to water aerobics with her special friend, Norene.
Her family was very important to her, and she touched many lives.
She is survived by two sons: Bobby Lee Dunn (Debbie) of Coldwater, KS and Roger Keith Dunn (Jill) of Coldwater, KS; three grandchildren: Suzanne Snook (Dave), Joseph Dunn (Lisa), and Jeremy Dunn (Melanie); great-grandchildren: Ashleigh Gleeson (Chris), Austin Snook (Laramie), Alexa Dillion (Jared), Dylan Dunn, Victoria Tucker (Tristan), Chloe Bruckner, Caleb Bruckner, Emma Dunn, Keith Dunn, Tristan Dunn (Haley), Grant Dunn (MaKenzie), Devin Dunn, and Cami Dunn; great-great-grandchildren: Remington Gleeson, Kimber Snook, Henry Snook, Natalie Dillion, Weston Rucas, Lilliana Rucas, Gatlin Dunn, Remington Dunn, Millie Dunn, Rubie Dunn, Knox Tucker, Stone Tucker, and Ford Tucker; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, her parents, all siblings, and two grandchildren: Robert Dunn and Jamie Bruckner.
Calling times are from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2025 at First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS with Jeff Blundell presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Comanche County Hospital in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
