Richard Leroy Dome

Richard Leroy Dome, 70, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his residence in Hutchinson, KS. Born January 25, 1943, in Protection, KS, he was the son of Richard George and Madeline Josephine "Jo" (Van Dorn) Dome.
Richard was a resident of Hutchinson, KS, previously living in Dodge City, KS, for many years. He graduated from Protection High School and was a member of the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS. He worked as a yard man for lumber yards for much of his career. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
In December of 2009, he married Martha Stewart. She survives.
He is survived by his wife: Martha Stewart of Hutchinson, KS; two daughters: Alma Jo Fries and husband Dennis of Colorado and Ricki Graves and husband Tim of Dodge City, KS; one granddaughter: Brittney Nicole Fries; an aunt: Beverly Koehn; one niece, one nephew, numerous cousins, and his faithful companion: Sad Sack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: James Gary Dome and Billy Joe Dome; and one sister: Sharon Kay Dome.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS. Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Protection Christian Church in Protection, KS, with Andrew Evans presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
