Riley Stalcup, 93, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born November 19, 1922 at Great Bend, KS, he was the son of John Riley and Mattie Mae (Gates) Stalcup.
Riley was a long time resident of Coldwater, KS, moving to the area in 1944, having previously lived in St. John, KS. He graduated from Great Bend High School in Great Bend, KS in 1941. On March 17, 1945, he married Evelyn "Cricket" Finney at Greensburg, KS. She preceded him in death on December 20, 2007.
Riley held numerous jobs early in his life including work on farms, trucking, and in the oil field. He worked for Coldwater Motor Company for nearly forty years and received many awards from Ford Motor Company during that time. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coldwater, KS. Other memberships include: 50 year member of Coldwater Masonic Lodge; Coldwater Lion's Club; Coldwater Chamber of Commerce; and Coldwater JayCees.
He is survived by two daughters: Sandra Stalcup and Johnita Stalcup of Coldwater, KS; one brother: Loren Stalcup and his wife Patricia of Mission Viejo, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father: Fred Weiszbrod; two brothers; and three sisters.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2015, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Assembly of God Church in Coldwater, KS, with Pastor David Moseley presiding.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
