Rita Diane (Koehn) Cook, 42, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK.  Born January 29, 1982 at Dodge City, KS, she was the daughter of Mike and Myrna (Zielke) Koehn.

Rita attended school in Protection, KS and was a member of the first graduating class from South Central High School in 2000.  She attended Dodge City Community College and received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK.  She was a member of Protection Methodist Church in Protection, KS.

Rita was a resident of Perry, OK.  She worked as a Social Worker for the State of Oklahoma for many years and most recently worked at Wee Maroons Daycare in Perry, OK.

Rita is survived by her parents: Mike and Myrna Koehn of Protection, KS; three children: Logan Cook, Jaxson Cook, and Emersyn Cook of Perry, OK; one sister: Karen Leterle of Protection, KS; one brother: Curtis Koehn (Cody Jo) of Beaver, OK; and two nieces: Eliesha Leterle and Katie Leterle of Protection, KS.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Clinton and Beverly Koehn; and Harry and Marguerite Zielke.

Calling times are from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral Service is at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2024 at Protection Methodist Church, Protection, KS, with Pastor Suzie Woods presiding.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
