Robert "Bob" Schultz, 91, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at his residence in Coldwater, KS. Born August 30, 1930, at Lookout, OK, he was the 9 th of 11 children born to Harry and Emma (Reich) Schultz.
Bob was a lifetime resident of Comanche County, KS. He attended Bluff Creek Country School. Bob was drafted into the Korean War as a Conscientious Objector. His strong faith and love of the Mennonite teachings would not allow him to pick up a gun and fight, but he served his country by working in a MASH Unit.
Bob was a member of the Protection Mennonite Church in Protection, KS and A.M.P.I. He worked the majority of his life in the agriculture field.
On June 16, 1955, he married Sue Frazier at Clayton, NM. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2019.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother: Florence (Selzer) Schultz; one son: Robert J. "Bobby" Schultz; three brothers; and five sisters.
He is survived by three daughters: Terri Hubbard (David) of Buttermilk, KS, Shawn Miller (Steve) of Protection, KS, and Mindy Brass (Dave) of Wilmore, KS; one brother: Roy Schultz (Evelyn) of Waxahachie, TX; one sister: Ruby Brown of Great Bend, KS; one sister-in-law: Mary Schultz of Protection, KS; six grandchildren: Derek Hubbard (Kelly), Brooke Sanchez (Joshua), Abby Lauxman (Jason), Levi Miller (Tonia), Hannah Brass, and Victoria Selzer (Ryan); and twelve great-grandchildren with two on the way.
Calling Times are from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Family Will Be Present From 5-7 p.m.), Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.
Funeral Service is at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, at Protection Christian Church, Protection, KS, with Pastor Rusty Westerfield presiding. Burial will follow the funeral service at Protection Mennonite Cemetery, south of Protection, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Comanche County E.M.S. or Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Meat Canning Division in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, KS 67029.
