Ronald "Ron" George Brosius

Ronald "Ron" George Brosius, 79, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater, KS. Born September 23, 1933, at Dodge City, KS, he was the son of George "Pete" Cecil and Laura Irene (Lenz) Brosius.
Ron was a long time resident of the Coldwater, KS area, moving there in 1978 from Englewood, CO. He attended grade school in Dodge City, KS and high school in Langdon, KS. Ron was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He worked as a finish carpenter for most of his life and also worked some in farming and ranching. Ron enjoyed having coffee and visiting at local restaurants.
On March 26, 1960, he married Peggy Ann Huck at Coldwater, KS. She survives.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy Brosius of Coldwater, KS; one daughter: Nancy Schultz and her husband Greg of Coldwater, KS; two sons: Mike Brosius and his wife Donna of Protection, KS and Ronny Brosius and his wife Terri of Coldwater, KS; one brother: Donald Brosius and his wife Linda of Hutchinson, KS; one sister: Naomi Jo Call of Arkansas City, KS; eleven grandchildren: Matt Freund, Jared Freund, Ashley Cromer, Justin Schultz, Brett Schultz, Chad Schultz, Christopher Brosius, Michele Brosius, Tina Martin, Tyler Brosius, and Emily Brosius; and eight great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Riley, Connor, Gavin, and Stryker Martin, Sarah and Emily Hardy, and Kaden Cromer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Kathy Freund; and one sister: Lena Brosius.

Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013, at the First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS, with Andrew Evans and Pastor Doug Johnson presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS, with full military honors.
