Sandra Lee Moore, 71, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge, City, KS.  Born July 31, 1950, at Protection, KS, she was the daughter of Alva "Cap" and Opal (Huffman) Young.

Sandra attended Protection Schools in Protection, KS and graduated from Protection High School in 1968.  She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Protection, KS.  On November 2, 1970, she married Donald Duane Moore at Ashland, KS.  He preceded her in death on May 5, 2008.

Sandra was  a resident of Dodge City, KS, previously living in Mullinville, KS.  She worked as a cook at Gable's Café in Mullinville, KS for many years.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Jim Young, Frank Young, Dick Young, and Mable DePriest.

She is survived by seven children: Johnny Moore of Buffalo, OK, Chad Moore (Lori) of Auxvasse, MO, Katie Youtsey (Aaron) of Perryton, TX, Corey Moore (Amanda) of Fremont, NE, Misti Anderson (EJ) of Oklahoma City, OK, Dawn Franklin (Bryin) of Pratt, KS, and Karla Moore (Mike Trabert) of Dodge City, KS; one sister: Kathryn Turley of Garden City, KS; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Visitation with family present is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS.

Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Protection, KS, with Pastor Rusty Westerfield presiding.
