Sharon Louise Sangster, 68, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at her residence in Greensburg, KS. Born July 2, 1949, at Ashland, KS, she was the daughter of Lester and Phebe (Hershberger) Selzer.
Sharon graduated from Protection High School in 1967 and received a business certificate from Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, KS. She was a long-time resident of Greensburg, KS, moving there in 1971. Sharon was a member of the Greensburg Mennonite Church in Greensburg, KS, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and cleaned the church for many years. During her life, she worked at the Greensburg State Bank, Kiowa County Treasurer's Office, and Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and solving crossword puzzles.
On September 20, 1975, she married Rodney Sangster at Protection, KS. He survives.
In addition to her husband: Rodney Sangster of Greensburg, KS, she is survived by one son: Kevin Sangster of Amarillo, TX; one daughter: Lori Leboeuf (Doug) of Dixon, MO; one brother: Kenny Selzer (Susie) of Pateros, WA; four grandchildren: Ethan Richardson, Katy Sangster, Emily Leboeuf and Brooke Leboeuf; a sister-in-law: Ellen Selzer of Coldwater, KS; and an aunt Berta Miller of Hesston, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Lawrence Selzer.
Calling times are from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater, KS and from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Greensburg Mennonite Church, Greensburg, KS.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Greensburg Mennonite Church, 310 W. Pennsylvania, Greensburg, KS, with Jeffrey D. Blackburn presiding.
Burial is at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.
